Unlocking your business remotely just got even easier, now in Nexkey’s Portal

When we ask customers why they buy Nexkey, one of the top 3 reasons is being able to unlock their business from anywhere. Especially in today’s work environment, with more and more people adapting a flexible work schedule switching between the office and home office, having access to the office even when you’re not there makes a world of difference. 

Access should be seamless and at your fingertips, wherever you happen to be working. Until now, Nexkey’s users could remotely access doors with our mobile app, a device always on you. But we realized while you’re working, you’re on your laptop and it may just be easier to have that ability right in the Nexkey Portal, so we added it!

Nexkey’s Portal just got more powerful: Intelligent insights, simplified management, and now unlocking from anywhere! 

Many of the same features you love in the Nexkey app are now they’re right in the Nexkey Portal, with some new ones to enjoy. We designed Nexkey’s Portal to be the central hub for all things access, from our intelligent dashboard to our messaging platform, and now unlocking! The ability to remotely unlock in the Portal was a natural addition, and we’re excited for users to use it.

Here are some new features you’ll find in our Portal with this release:

Remote unlocking

Unlocking access to your building is officially on every device - your smartphone, Apple Watch app, and now on your laptop. So whether you’re on the go or at your desk, there is a quick way to unlock the door for anyone who needs instant access.

Remote unlocking on Nexkey Portal for admins will be a key go-to feature when needing to grant immediate access for deliveries, temporary guests, and more. With a few clicks in the Portal, you can use any key to unlock a door connected to a Nexkey Controller from wherever you are: at home, at your desk, or even from a coffee shop.

Instant control and status of business hours 

Not only can you remotely unlock doors, now you have more control over business hours which automatically unlocks the door with a set schedule. With this new remote tab, instantly resume (UNLOCK UNTIL) or pause (LOCK) business hours for the current session within your schedule. Business hours will then resume the next day (or time) you have set up. 

Please note this feature does not physically close the door, so be careful the door is not accidentally left open to fully secure the entryway.

As admin, it allows you to have the opportunity to lock up early or unexpectedly, and then unlock your business without disruption to your schedule. Have an instant go-to place to monitor the status of every door powered by a Nexkey Controller, to see whether business hours are on or off.
