Enjoy More of Nexkey

We take pride in our Nexkey app doing more than what your typical mobile access control app can do, which is just unlocking the door. 

We already highlight the features you use every day like unlocking and key sharing and make them easily accessible on the bottom navigation of the app. But we decided to take the extra features our customers love to use in the app and put them together in one place where we will continue to add more of the next great features of Nexkey.

What’s in More?

Groups

With Groups, you can streamline advanced key management to maximize efficiency of the Nexkey system by bundling multiple keys and people. Instead of managing individual keys or people, share access to the entire building to the group. Grant individual access to every key by simply adding that individual to the group. Likewise, instead of individually sharing a new key everyone at the company, add that key to the group and everyone will automatically get access.

No need to have to be in front of your computer to manage access, you make quick changes on the go. On your smartphone, view and edit keys, people, schedules, and settings for every group you administer. You can also view group activity right in the app which is a great way to know who had access and when for all keys in one window. 

Notifications

In notifications, you see activity for access that relates to you as a user, like when keys were shared or revoked with you, as well as messages sent to you by an admin. As an admin, you are able to add notification rules so you can receive notifications for activity relating to any of your keys you administer.

Under Advanced Features, toggle to Notification Rules so you can start to define what access activity - unlocks, key shares or revokes, or schedules changes - will trigger your push notifications.

Set when you would like to receive notifications to fit your schedule. You may only want to be notified when an unlock occurs during non business hours or when any keys are shared. 

Unlock Settings

You may design your experience when unlocking Nexkey devices. Add sensory effects like a Vibration or Sound to know when the door becomes unlocked beyond seeing the Nexkey checkmark on the app or blue solid light on Nexkey Core. These sensory features are currently on iOS and will be coming soon to Android.

Firmware Updates

Now when new firmware updates are released, you will see a red dot guiding you to firmware updates in the app. You'll have that reminder to make sure every Nexkey device is on the latest firmware update so you can keep your business as secure as possible. 

Traditional access control would require someone to come out to manually update the firmware on your access devices. We make it very easy to update your firmware on your phone through the cloud. Simply tap the key that needs the update (with the red dot) near the Nexkey device. The firmware is completely updated in the cloud so just 15 seconds later you’ll be on the latest firmware.

Advanced Features

You’ll be the first to try out new features currently in development with Advanced Features. We first launch our new features under Advanced so we can hear your feedback on what you love and how we can improve them. We listen to our customers and implement the right changes into the feature and then officially launch it to everyone to enjoy. To start using Advanced Features, simply switch on the toggle next to the feature and you will then see it in the app.

We’re always here to help so we give you our direct line. As a Nexkey user, you can email or call us during business hours for any questions about how to use Nexkey, or to just give us some feedback. You can also submit a bug report if something in the app doesn’t go as planned. As an admin, you have the ultimate connection to us with our emergency hotline. If you are locked out of the building or in another emergency situation, call us right away and we will be glad to help.
