Nexkey launches integration to automate access, through Zapier, by connecting with apps you use and love
Connect Nexkey’s mobile access control system with different apps to automate tasks and migrate data within a few easy steps
Workflows are getting more digitized by the day, rapidly accelerating amid the pandemic, with more adoption and use of cloud applications.
You start spending your time going from one app to another, sending an email, then an invite, then slacking the team, and then sharing a key, all on different apps. Every tool you bring on, those tasks starts to add up and get mundane and repetitive, taking time away from more important operations.
A few years back, Nexkey started by making access management instant and simplified through the smartphone and web portal, allowing businesses to replace cumbersome keys or traditional access control systems using mostly fobs or key cards. Now we’re taking automation to the next level, bringing many advantages not possible with physical access credentials.
Nexkey can now integrate mobile access, the heart of any business, with the apps you already use everyday like Slack, Calendly, and Google Sheets and more, through the automation tool Zapier.
Just a few workflow automations you can do with Nexkey’s integration with Zapier:
Get notified through a Slack message when someone unlocks or gets access to your space.
Have customers book time through Calendly and get access to your business immediately for the timeframe they booked.
Manage employees or members in Google Sheets and access will be granted automatically in Nexkey when you add more people.
This integration bridges the gap between the physical workplace and the digital workflows used on a daily basis, saving businesses time and money.
When the pandemic hit, businesses redefined work through a digital revolution, using new communication and collaboration tools, remote work, analytics, AI, and more. We saw more innovation in the last year than the last decade to adjust to this new normal. Earlier this year, Nexkey announced the new Dashboard which uses density and occupancy data to give businesses intelligent insights so thousands of Americans can safely return to work.
Now with the right tools in place, Nexkey’s integration can help eliminate distractions like duplicate data entry or repetitive tasks by migrating data and automating workflows across applications so businesses can focus on growth.
“Nexkey is the only cloud-based access control with Zapier integration, which allows us to manage how we want things to work. It allowed us to be flexible and explore new avenues to increase our revenue,” says David Adato, Chief Operations Officer, at Downtown Works. “The integration with Nexkey and Zapier gives us the ability to do so many different things with access. It's a game-changer for sure.”
Downtown Works, a coworking space, is currently using Zapier to connect Nexkey to a variety of different internal apps including Liquidspace, an online site to rent flexible workspaces. When someone books an office space or meeting room with Downtown Works, a key is automatically shared with them for the exact timeframe they booked and a confirmation email is sent immediately from Liquidspace.
The company was able to rent out unused office space, creating an additional self-running revenue stream, which became more helpful during COVID times when staff was at home, and will continue to be when everything is back to “normal”.
No code is needed, and there’s no need to hire developers. Instead in the Zapier app, select the trigger (member booked office) and action (send key) from each app you want to connect, and toggle on the zap.
“The Nexkey integration honestly does make life a lot easier instead of relying on getting an external developer and figuring out how to use two different APIs. It definitely helps a lot,” says David Adato. “I'm all about automation. The more automation, the better, so our staff doesn't have to deal with anything. It just makes sense.”
We will probably never go back to “business as usual”, too much has changed. In a recent survey, 57% of SMBs and enterprise companies said its cloud usage will be higher than initially planned after the COVID-19 pandemic. Leaders need to rethink how they recover, work, operate, and grow in order to compete in this next normal. This integration with Zapier will help Nexkey’s customers do just that.
We’re excited for our customers to connect Nexkey’s mobile access control platform to all the different apps they use across their business to be more efficient and secure than ever before.
